We don’t need people like that to defend shit.
I feel like that playful aggression and bloodlust is something you wouldn’t fully understand until you were in a combat arms.
You don’t joke about killing civilians.
I’m not and I’m not necessarily supporting the actions. But we do joke about some pretty grim stuff from time to time.
Right, and I get that. But bitching about not being able to sing songs about burning the natives of the invaded country shouldn’t exactly go hand in hand with being in what’s ~*~supposed~*~ to be the military of “good guys"
God knows we’ve already committed plenty of war crimes, we don’t need our boys singing “napalm sticks to kids" and further reinforce this idea that we can do no wrong. I don’t really care if you’ve seen combat and have some bloodlust or not, you don’t parade about the joys of burning some farmer’s kid in the name of defending our rights. That’s my point.

You’d be hard pressed to convince me that drone striking weddings and sending young men to fight farmers who really can’t travel 7,000 miles is defending me, my freedom, or the constitution.
